Flight of the Tarantula Hawk - A Lance Underphal Mystery by Michael Allan Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was a killer book! The action was constant and I didn't want to finish it because then my escape with Underphal would come to an abrupt end and Lance is a delish character to spend your time with. The thing that made this book scary was that it was a very believable story and was definitely one of the best dark thriller books I have read in a long time.
The female characters had this femme fatale feel to them and everytime Naomi crossed and uncrossed her legs, Sharon Stone came to mind. Was it sexist? I don't think so. The female characters were alluring but in a way that they fit into the story. The attraction had to be there for the reader and other characters.
I was so intrigued with this story and the twists and turns that I couldn't put it down. Some scenes left me scratching my head and wanting nothing more than to read on. Some scenes were touching too like when Lacey and Lance talk, he doesn't want her there but then he needs her and he doesn't know it. Ah. The twists and turns of the fictional friend. A book that is worth your time and money. I really enjoyed this book and so will you! Thank you Mr. Scott and please do continue with similar great reads.
