Tainted Love: The Faith McKenzie Story by Erin Cawood
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
What did you think of the cover? This book is about domestic abuse so I'm not sure if my interpretation is the same as the author's intention. The white roses reflect the purity of marriage and the fragility of the abuse victim when she feels as if she can't go on in life.
Was the book different from what you expected? Not really. From the author's description, you know what to expect and with stories you like these, there are only so many ways it can end.
Were the characters and their problems believable? Yes. The story and characters are so real and can be happening to someone you know. The text flows smoothly, although I would have liked for the characters to have been more developed.
Would you recommend this book? I will definitely recommend this book fiction lovers. You don't have to be an abuse victim to appreciate this book.
Disclosure: I received a free book from the author. This did not affect my honest opinion.
